The Idea
We all experience consciousness. That alone makes us qualified to speak about it. No degree, institution, or worldview gives anyone authority over the question. Every story carries the same weight — whether it comes from a neuroscientist, an NDE survivor, a physicist, a Buddhist, a Christian, a plumber, or someone with no label at all.
This gathering exists so those stories can be spoken in the open, under the same simple rule, in the same place. Honesty and clarity matter. Rank does not.
The goal is simple: to bring people together to freely explore the most intimate and mysterious fact of existence — that there is something it is like to be.
How it works
Short enough to keep attention sharp. Long enough to say something that matters.
Anyone may apply. Selected speakers receive a 6-minute slot on the amphitheatre stage.
Everyone speaks under the same rule — neuroscientist, NDE survivor, physicist, plumber, or anyone with a story to tell.
After the talks: questions, debate, and open conversation. The evening is meant to stay alive.
Post-evening drinks and music so people can meet, talk, and begin building a community.
One gathering each year under the Cypriot sky, returning to the same question with new voices.

A short drive from Kourion. Narrow streets, the medieval castle, the old harbour, and plenty of places to eat and drink. Easy to spend an afternoon wandering before the gathering.
The coastline between Limassol and Paphos is full of long beaches and the famous Petra tou Romiou. A good way to feel the landscape of the island before the evening begins.
